Fall might be the perfect time to curl up with a good book. The nights begin to get shorter and colder, the leaves begin to fall of the trees and your perfect evening now consists of snuggling up on the sofa with a cup of tea and a good book. There are so many good books out there at the moment and we're not going to rest until we’ve read them all.

One of our genres of choice is psychological thriller - there is nothing more exciting than a shocking twist. And they are perfect for the season of Halloween, longer nights, and chillier weather. So without further adieu, here are our top five reads that you should add to your reading list this fall. If you haven't read them already, we'd suggest you get them in your Amazon cart immediately!

Big Little Lies

We absolutely loved this book, the storyline was gripping and it will keep you guessing throughout. If you're anything like us, you'll find yourself constantly guessing and getting super close to uncovering the truth or picking up on the next the twist, ruining it for yourself before you've even got to the end of the book. And that's what sets this book apart from the rest - we never once got close. It has also been made into an HBO series which is just as incredible!

The Roanoke Girls

At the start of this book, we 100% wanted to be Roanoke girls but then by the end...not so much (you'll have to read it to find out why). Thanks to the captivating writing, we were able to really connect with the main character Lane and were able to visualise all the characters as if we had just seen them down at the bar last week. If you only have time to read one of these five recommendations, we'd say this is the one to go for.

In The Dark Dark Wood

We loved this book as it was so easy to read, making it a perfect way to escape from the real world for a bit and step into the dramatic, twisted world of the main characters. Once we picked this one up, we couldn't put it back down. Bonus: it's going to be a movie soon!

Not That Kinda Girl

Lena Dunham might have her controversial moments, but she's definitely not boring. We know many of you will have already read this, but if you haven't already, be sure to check out her book. She's a pop culture phenomenom.

The Collector

If you often have nightmares about being kidnapped, this book isn't for you. But if you love being scared out of your wits, this might be your new favorite book! We have to say this book is sensational and incredibly well written. Our hearts were beating from start to finish. One not to be ignored.
